1. Who We Are

NoCloud is a UK-based sole trader that designs and sells smart aquarium automation hardware under the AquaHub brand. Our products include the AquaHub display unit, pump assembly, wireless water level sensor, water quality sensor, and smart doser.

2. Our Privacy Approach

We believe privacy should be the default, not an option you have to configure. Our entire product philosophy is built around this principle:

• No cloud servers. AquaHub hardware operates entirely on your local network. Your aquarium data never leaves your home.
• No user accounts. You do not need to create an account to use our products.
• No telemetry. Our devices do not phone home, send usage statistics, or report any data to us.
• No tracking on this website. We do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other analytics or tracking service.

When we say no data collection, we mean it. Your aquarium is your business.

3. Data We Collect

This website collects almost no data:

• No analytics scripts are loaded.
• No user accounts exist on this website.
• No cookies are set. We use localStorage for your theme preference (light/dark) and cookie banner acknowledgement only. Neither of these contains personal data.

When you place an order, we collect the minimum information necessary to fulfil it:

• Name — to address your package and communicate with you.
• Email address — to send order confirmation and shipping updates.
• Shipping address — to deliver your order.
• Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We never see, handle, or store your card details.

Our hardware products collect no data that is transmitted to us. All sensor readings, schedules, and configuration remain on your local devices.

4. How We Use Your Data

The personal data we collect during an order is used strictly for:

• Order fulfilment — processing your payment, packaging, and shipping your order.
• Order communication — sending confirmation emails and shipping tracking information.
• Customer support — responding to your enquiries about your order.

We do not use your data for marketing purposes unless you have explicitly opted in to receive marketing communications. We do not build profiles, run targeted advertising, or share your data for promotional purposes.

5. Legal Basis (UK GDPR)

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

• Contract performance (Article 6(1)(b)) — processing your name, email, shipping address, and payment is necessary to fulfil the purchase contract between us.
• Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) — contacting you regarding your order status, delivery issues, or product support where it is reasonable and expected.

6. Data Sharing

We share your personal data only with the following third parties, and only to the extent necessary to fulfil your order:

• Stripe — our payment processor. Stripe handles all card transactions. We never see or store your card number. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Royal Mail / courier services — your name and shipping address are provided to the delivery carrier to ship your order.

We do not share data with:

• Advertising networks or platforms
• Data brokers
• Social media companies
• Any other third parties

7. Data Retention

We retain order records (name, email, address, order details) for 6 years from the date of the transaction. This is required by HMRC for tax and accounting purposes under UK law.

After this period, order records are securely deleted.

We do not retain any other personal data, because we do not collect any other personal data.

8. Your Rights

Under the UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
• Right to restriction — request that we limit how we process your data.
• Right to data portability — request your data in a structured, commonly used format.
• Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interest.

9. International Transfers

Stripe, our payment processor, may process payment data outside the United Kingdom. Stripe maintains appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

We do not independently transfer any personal data outside the UK.

10. Children

Our products and this website are not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
